Heifer Project

Rainbow Network and Heifer Project International have teamed up in Nicaragua. In 2008, Heifer Project has awarded Rainbow Network a new grant of $200,000, which is being used with 144 families is a chain of production. Families receive animals for production. As the the animals reproduce, the families give the same amount of animals to a new family of beneficiaries. The animals include sheep, hens, pigs and bees.
