La Paz Centro

The La Paz Centro Network was developed in 2000, the third in the Rainbow Network.  There are 17 small communities; Amatitán, Boca de Cántaro, Cabo de Horno, Flor de la Piedra, Hato #1, Hato #2, La Ceiba, La Concha, La Palma, Las Parcelas, La Sabaneta, Los Arcos, El Socorro, Rincón de los Bueyes, Las Parcelitas, Tecuaname and Los Portillos.

There are 85 Rainbow Network grade schools which has 1,021 students learning how to read and write and do basic math.  150 students are on scholarship to attend the local high schools.  There are 1,228 people receiving a nutritious meal each day in the Rainbow Network Feeding Centers and an average of 191 patient consultations are made each month by our doctors.  Currently 412 families are partaking in the Economic Development program with small business loans to increase their income, and there have been 185 new Rainbow Network houses built for the families in this network.
