You have heard the stories of how planting one seed or throwing one starfish back in the ocean all makes a difference. It is all very true. Each seed planted and each starfish thrown adds up. 

Thirty years ago, our organization was founded in five rural communities just west of Nicaragua’s capital city. 

What started as coming alongside a couple thousand people grew into something so much more. Fast forward thirty years and we have worked in almost 200 rural communities with more than 60,000 people. Led by our mission of sharing in Christ’s love, we’ve helped people overcome extreme challenges in healthcare, education, wages, and housing. 

Throughout these last three decades, not only have we provided much-needed resources like medicine and school supplies, but we have also created unity amongst communities and cultivated a forward-looking mindset. 

Through our programs, people have pride and dignity. They have grown from needing help to becoming help for those around them.

We are proud to share that, to date, we have celebrated with 127 communities as they have taken their first steps of independence and graduated from our programs. It has taken decades to get here, with many challenges and learning curves along the way, but it has all been worth it.

One life… one family… one community…. It has all added up to thousands of people and entire communities living a life they are proud of. Praise the Lord!

You made this possible, and we are grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for a wonderful 30 years and for coming alongside us in this incredible work! 

Now we set our sights on a new year of possibilities and new opportunities for people to flourish. The best is yet to come!
