When Nahomy entered our scholarship program, she was motivated to fight for a better future and become a professional. Growing up, she saw her father working hard as a salesman, struggling to support the family, and she wanted to help.
When she heard about our scholarship program, she immediately applied. She knew that receiving an education was the best way to develop herself and support her family.

During her time in high school, Nahomy developed leadership skills and received personal development training to help her become a well-rounded young woman.
She fondly remembers teaching the kids in the colectivo and organizing trash pickup days in her community. She said, “I felt like we were all doing something good together.”
In her words, having a scholarship and a sponsor was a great blessing. She went on to share,
“I was able to continue my studies without worrying so much about the expenses. More than financial help, it meant knowing that someone believed in me and in my future.”
Our scholarship program not only provides needed financial and material support to students, but it also gives them hope and encouragement as they face each day’s challenges.
Nahomy’s parents, her sponsors, and our staff became a support system that helped her earn her high school diploma. Feeling proud of this accomplishment, Nahomy confidently looks ahead to the next stage in her journey – starting classes at a nearby university!
Partnerships change lives. Partnerships are what we are all about.
Nahomy plans to continue studying, work her way through college, and start a career in the health or education field. Why? So she can help others in her community. What an amazing young lady!
We look for students like Nahomy, who want to continue their education and lift up others along the way, to be part of our scholarship program. You can help us grow this program by sponsoring a student today!
Each dollar given to Rainbow Network reaffirms value and belief in people who greatly need it.
Give the life-changing gift of sponsorship today, and let a student know they are not alone in this journey.
