Francisco & Xiomara Urbina

Francisco and Xiomara began their family in a humble home built by Francisco's father. The couple has five children, and together they all shared this home with Francisco's three brothers, their wives, and children.

The family lived in these overcrowded, unsanitary conditions for years.

Francisco and Xiomara were accepted as beneficiaries in the housing project in their community. The family of seven moved into a secure house that would allow them to have more space to grow and keep them safe year-round.

Francisco and Xiomara's children were Rainbow Network scholarship recipients, and each had the opportunity to pursue higher education by attending and graduating high school. Their daughter Tania, previously mocked by her peers for wanting to study medicine, is now a licensed nurse at the community medical center. Another daughter, Concepción, is studying to be a teacher.

Francisco and Xiomara have always become partners in business. The couple took out loans over several cycles and have built what began as a small convenience store into a large, full-stocked market filled with a variety of products. The two feel confident that they will continue their business for years to come and are ecstatic to provide a life of comfort and peace to themselves and their children.
