Jerónima lives in the Temoa community and makes a living by working tirelessly on her farm, which consists of vegetable and fruit gardens as well as a large group of pigs.
Jerónima has been very fortunate to have benefited from all Rainbow Network programs in some way.
After learning about The Rainbow Network, Jerónima sought to improve her living conditions by taking on several business ventures. She began by raising and selling pigs and pork, and then used these profits to open her own convenience store where she is able to sell a variety of items. She can supply her community with everyday needs.
Jerónima is currently the Health Coordinator for her community committee. She volunteers extensively in the community in an effort to improve the living conditions for everyone.
Her son was awarded a Rainbow Network scholarship and was able to attend high school all five years, until he successfully graduated.
She has used her profits to provide food for her family and to build a safe home for all of them to live in.
